Le Fringant, Brussels
Some restaurants are made for long lunches with friends, and Le Fringant is certainly one of them. With its warm, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful setting and genuinely attentive service, it’s the kind of place where you settle in and happily lose track of time.
Chef Johan Ducroquet focuses on authentic, flavourful bistro cooking, with a menu that changes according to fresh, seasonal produce. The lunch menu offers a choice of three starters, three main courses and three desserts, making it easy to put together a meal that suits your appetite.
What I particularly enjoyed was the balance between quality and conviviality. The cooking is polished without feeling overly formal, the atmosphere encourages conversation, and there’s no sense of being rushed.
