La Quincaillerie, Brussels
Returning to La Quincaillerie after more than 20 years was a lovely surprise. Set in a magnificent former hardware store, the restaurant has a spectacular interior that makes dining here feel like an occasion in itself.
I was invited by American Express and began with a selection of four oysters, followed by canneton (young duck) and dessert. Everything made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening, but the oysters and impressive seafood platters are what I would particularly recommend coming here for.
A wonderful address for anyone who appreciates seafood, beautiful surroundings and a restaurant with real character.
